It’s obvious it’s not something they are very keen to fix, and I find that incredibly frustrating. I contacted them, was told that they were aware of the problem, were working on it, and there was nothing to be done on my end. I haven’t been able to download anything on the app for months now though, and that makes me very unhappy, as I travel frequently. I’ve been using googleplay for years, and, overall, have been fairly happy with it. And now the app itself crashes every time I open it. It’s been repeatedly crashing while watching anything I’ve purchased. Since buying a new iPad Pro, my movies and TV episodes freeze often, and I still can’t download anything. UPDATE: They obviously haven’t updated this app in ages. UPDATE: App now crashes whenever I click on. This is a fine app for streaming things, but if you want to download anything, go elsewhere. None of those things worked years ago, and they still don’t work now. They did respond with the typical troubleshooting page. It keeps on giving me an error any time I try and download something. Who else could do that besides Google? And they choose not to. I wish I could have my library at the quality I purchased it on the device I want to watch it. If Google committed to providing my 4K content on all my devices, Google’s video service would have been a slam dunk. Instead of waiting for Google to improve the media experience on my platforms of choice (Google TV was too little too late) with non-commital dabbling with things like iOS support but not TVOS support, it was easier to just walk away from my purchase and start over on iTunes. I was a big-time Google user (Pixel phone, Google assistants in every room, chrome book), but since switched to Apple ecosystem. Wouldn’t the Google TV app be a perfect candidate for availability on the Apple TV? Like, wouldn’t I want to watch TV on my TV?ġ) Pushing use of Chromecast, but this is aimed at people already in the Apple ecosystem (and I don’t want to cast/airplay, which is why I chose to connect what is essentially a computer to my TV in the form of the Apple TV)Ģ) Users unable to purchase content from the play store on the Apple TV itself, so it would solely be used for consuming contentģ) Not as much user or usage data available to make the platform worth while And you can use your phone’s keyboard to quickly type complicated passwords, movie names or search terms on your Google TV or other Android TV OS device With a remote built right into the app, you can find something great to watch even when the couch has eaten your remote. Use your phone as your Google TV / Android TV remote Start streaming right on your mobile device, or download your previously purchased entertainment from your Library to watch when you're not connected. Your recommendations, Library and Watchlist go with you wherever you go, whether it is out the front door or just to the other room. The Watchlist is shared across your devices, so you can even add to your Watchlist from your TV or phone and laptop through Search on any browser. Search for titles to see which apps are streaming them.Īdd interesting shows and movies to your Watchlist to keep track of your new discoveries and view them later. Discover new things with recommendations based on what you love and what’s trending across the services you already have access to. With Google TV, you'll be able to:īrowse movies and TV episodes from across your streaming apps, all in one place and organized into topics and genres. The Google TV app, previously Play Movies & TV, makes it easy to find and enjoy the entertainment you love from across your apps, all in one place.

The German Federal Administrative Court then submitted several questions of principle to the ECJ for clarification in September 2019. SpaceNet AG had already filed a complaint with the Cologne Administrative Court in 2016. The conflict must not be carried out on the backs of Internet users, including our customers, also in the future.” More suitable methods for the prevention and prosecution of criminal offences must be found. Six years after the start of the proceedings, the ECJ can finally create legal certainty in dealing with the retention of data. “If the European Court of Justice follows the Advocate General’s assessment and also declares German data retention to be contrary to Union law, this would be an important milestone for the Internet and telecommunications industry. Sebastian von Bomhard, Founder and CEO SpaceNet AG: If the ECJ deems the German regulations incompatible with EU law, the German government should seize this opportunity to set a political course and quickly initiate the repeal of data retention.” We urgently need to discuss alternative approaches, such as quick-freeze, selective, or occasion-based measures. Instead of seriously looking for alternatives, Germany is still carrying the mantra that serious crime can only be fought with data retention – but this is wrong. “Data retention massively encroaches on our privacy, but brings no proven added value for law enforcement. Oliver Süme, Chair of the Board of eco – Association of the Internet Industry: According to the Association’s assessment, the general and indiscriminate retention of traffic data, with around 2.35 billion data records per day (IP addresses and telephony), affects almost all German users and costs the industry more than 600 million Euros. In the legal dispute between SpaceNet AG and the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) will decide on 20 September whether the German regulations on data retention are compatible with EU law.Įco – Association of the Internet Industry has supported the lawsuit of SpaceNet AG from the beginning. Massive invasion of privacy: data retention affects 2.35 billion data records per day The obtained formula applies to a purely random statistical uncertainty component. Now, if you go aheadĬlick Stop Propagation checkbox, events won't be able to propagate. An analytical equation is derived for the uncertainty propagation factor for a half-life determination from a least-squares fit to equidistant activity measurements performed with identical relative uncertainties. This makes sure event won't propagate upwards. Propagation intensity factor One aspect of pressure vessel design which has received considerable attention in recent years is the design of threaded closures where, due to the high stress concentration at the root of the first active thread, a fatigue crack may quickly initiate and propagate in the radialcircumferential plane. All we did was adding a event.stopPropagation(). These are the event handlers we used in our example. const handleParentClick = ( event : React. That is because, in their default state events tries to propagate upwards on click.īut not to worry there is a really easy way to fix this in React. But, how, you just clicked on most inner div right? propagation mechanisms in state-of-the-art DSGE models. If you go ahead and click on LEVEL 3 it still says you clicked on LEVEL 1. i.e., multiple triggers but a dominant propagation mechanism. Now, we try to emphasize those buzz-words one by one starting off with Bubbling.īubbling means events going upwards. So, events can only propagate - moves up or down - till we prevent it. Whenever an event tries to go up or down in the DOM tree, calling stopPropagation() will prevent that to happen. that while age is i factor as regards the character of different coals. Using Equations 2.48, 2.55, and 2. AND PLENTY propagation work in places where there are OF ENTHUSIASM. So, this is where the stopPropagation() comes in. It is seen that is an amplification or propagation factor, and the object of the exercise is now to find out under what conditions its magnitude is less than unity, which is the stability condition. Self-lubricating sliding bearings are widely used in numerous industrial applications, primary regarding their specific lubrication mechanism. Can you do this without invoking wrapper elements click handler? No, you can't because, that is fundamentally impossible.Įven though we think we clicked on the most inner item we are still interacting with parent or wrapper element one way or another. Imagine a scenario where you have to click item inside another item. So learning this concept in React pretty much appliable to anywhere where the DOM exists, at least Scattering - from eddies in the air, from rain, from reflecting surfaces and objects. We know signals do propagate beyond the horizon and the major mechanisms are: Refraction - bending of signals towards ground. Event propagation in React works just like in real DOM, but events wrapped up in SyntheticEvents.īut that doesn't change anything, they still behave as if they are working on DOM. Rule of thumb distance to radio horizon (km) versus transmitter height (m) d 4.12h. " Events going up", " Events going down" those terms confuses people, yet they all true in their own terms. In reality Event Propagation concept is quite easy, but people tend to throw lots of words like, " Bubbling", " Capturing", " Delegations" "In the past, there were very expensive devices that might cost £3k or £5k," he says. The company has been making desktop AAC software since 2000, but spotted an opportunity in Apple's App Store when it launched in 2008. It's a striking video, so I talked to chief executive David Niemeijer to find out more. One of the developers making these apps is AssistiveWare, which came to my notice with this YouTube video about a six year-old girl called Ruby, and her use of its Proloquo2Go augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app on an iPad. Proloquo2Go can help speech-challenged kids increase communication and decrease frustration, and it empowers parents to customize this powerful tool in ways that best suits their kid's current age and stage of development. It's also a day to consider the way smartphone and tablet apps are being used by people with ASD and other complex communication needs, including cerebral palsy, down syndrome and developmental disabilities. The extensive available support for parents who are setting up and optimizing the use of Proloquo2Go for kids is impressive. The $219.99 price tag is definitely higher than similar apps however, there are no added costs (voice downloads included) and all of the webinars and online instruction are included. As long as a kid is able to navigate the device's screen and understands how symbols can represent words, including verbs and pronouns, they most likely will be able to use this tool to speak not only to ask for what they want or express how they feel, but also to speak in complete sentences and participate in the flow of everyday communication. Even for kids who can't read, the symbols used along with the words are so highly customizable that they can use it to express themselves without knowing words. For parents or teachers who wonder if they can customize an app with such an enormous vocabulary base (14,000 symbols), Proloquo2Go offers an extensive user guide, FAQs, webinars, and more that make the experience easy and even fun. Words are organized in grids by most frequently or recently used, sets of things, general parts of speech (pronouns, verbs, nouns), and "little" words, which help make sentences more fluid, conversational, and even polite ("I want to go play baseball, please."). With a tap, a swipe, and a tap, kids can drill down into the app to find just the right buttons that represent what they want to say. Kids who can't speak or have limited speech but who gravitate toward technology will likely be able to use Proloquo2Go adeptly. Kids who can type can also use this app for text-to-speech, with many customizable settings on this feature as well. As a result, kids using the app can be represented with more natural voice tones. Also, the downloadable voices include those of children (British or American, boy or girl). The app can increase or decrease the complexity of words and phrases presented based on a kid's current age and vocabulary. While there are a number of apps that fall into the category of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools, Proloquo2Go is unique in many ways. Users can also add their own photos and images to create icons, edit existing buttons, move them, or search by keyword. This app can be used for a wide range of speech, from very basic communication (a 3x3 grid for the most basic requests, such as food) to creating fluid sentences and conversations (up to an 8x8 grid, providing 64 up-front words, with many more options within categories). The award-winning, multi-user app is set up in a customizable grid that uses colorful icons placed in "buttons." These buttons represent words that kids can tap to say individually or to form complete sentences. Parents need to know that Proloquo2Go is an extraordinary communication aid for kids who need talking assistance.
